Death

Death

The one thing we ALL for sure have in common.

The ultimate inevitable truth for everyone. What does death mean to you? Do you fear it? Have you been forced to face it? Do you think of death and only think of human life and animals, or do you think of the death of the Earth and ecosystems? The death of sacred values and belief systems etc. What is death? Is it the end? Or is it the beginning ?

“Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory.” Dr Seuss.

I appreciate this quote. We are so go, go, go always moving to the next thing, the next desire, that we tend to miss out on life itself. Death is a game changer. It moves us. It forces us to face different truths. It humbles us.

There are many rituals surrounding death and we as humans beings have come up with different answers and solutions to try and prolong it for centuries. We have questioned what happens after death and ideas of what that looks like. Some cultures celebrate death. There are those that believe that we do not die. That energy is infinite and it just takes on a new form somewhere in the universe. Some believe good hearted go to heaven and bad hearted go to hell. Some believe nothing happens, that you’re just gone. Some believe you’re reborn. This is barely touching on all the beliefs surrounding death. What do you believe?

I used to fear death. I used to be so scared of what could happen and what would happen when I die. These fears were gripping, paralyzing. Then I began to shed programming I received as I grew in life. I began to take care of myself and what I was feeding my mind. Alot of my fears about death came from television, movies, and society itself.

I began to read and explore different perspectives. I induldged in knowledge and I continue to do so. I began to realize that across the board, really everything was hearsay. All we really have is testimony/word of mouth and our own experience.

There are billions of perspectives in life and we try and get people to all think the same way. Why!? So what if someone believes in heaven and hell and someone else believes in ascending and returning to source energy. Ultimately it all has the same feel and that is we really do not know anything but what we experience. Some have beautiful near death experiences some have horrifying ones. There is no way to tell what it will be like for you or me until we are there experiencing it. All we truly have is our life. The life we live and those we engage and build with. This I believe is a solid truth and a truth that echos throughout The Magical Mermaid and the Moon.

Fear can stifle life, make it become stagnent. I woke up to my life and how much I was living in fear. I embraced my life and I continue to embrace it daily as much as I can. ( We all have dense moments) Doing so, along with aligning myself, mind, body, and soul, intutituevly I knew that there is no need to fear death. Just as my life energy magically and beautifully gained this body, it will also magically and beautifully shed this body. So I ask again. What is death to you? Is it the end, or a new beginning ?
