Love

Hello friends,

It has been quite some time since I last posted here and decided today would be a good day to do so again.

I’ve been deep in evolving my human and spiritual aspects and opening up my perspective. What I mean by this is that we are all human but we are also spiritual beings. Our spiritual side is the divine flame within all of us. Always connected to the source of all there is, was, and ever will be, connecting us all. Our human side is the unique make up of our specific energy that is bombarded with the ways of the world and society. It is the side of us that creates a personality or identity, and is constantly searching and striving to be better in our dualistic environment. Both sides are always learning and evolving.

In gaining a better understanding of both our human and spiritual side I have found that love is at the heart of it all for me. Love looks different for all of us, and yet at the core of all these different expressions of love the same powerful energy pulsates. There is a famous scripture listed below that describes love. It definitely is a beautiful message but I’ve been learning that there is much more to love than just this light side.

Corinthians 13:4–8a (ESV) Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth.

We are creation. We literally were grown inside of a body and infused with different electrical currents and vibrations/frequencies/dna coding and divine love. The same creator energy was used for nature, animals, plants, earth, the sky, the stars, the sun, the moon etc. It is all so fascinating and we as humans are not separate from nature.

During my adventures of reconnecting with nature I had a deep rememberance that we are all love. I invite you to get outside and into nature. It is the best medicine of all. As I stood outside and watched the birds fly around and the flowers bloom from the ground I could feel the love that it all is, that we all are. We are all the embodiment of love but have been wired to look outside of ourselves for that love. Wired to think we are not good enough, that we are small, that we have to work hard and follow the social precedents set. Television is called programming for a reason and we have been programmed to think we are superior to nature not apart of it. Programmed to believe life is about competing and achieving milestones such as a house, car, marriage, kids, etc. The constant race for these things pull us further from nature, from our remembrance of the idea that we are here NOW, living and breathing and that has ALWAYS been enough. Don’t get me wrong these worldly things are great accomplishments but it’s important to remember there is more.

The Sun and the Moon in the sky don’t sit around wondering if we love them, if we need them, they just exist. The same can be said for animals and nature. It all exists. It is fully functioning. Cycling, changing. Coming and going. We as humans developed a sense of awareness and it changed everything. This awareness I believe is a gift and a curse simultaneously.

A gift because we can feel fully and process all that is happening around us, and use our mind tool to better shape the experience. A curse because ultimately we are just apart of an infinite process. Cycling in and out of nature and existence, in our universe and beyond, and ultimately we have no control. Just the perception of control through this gift of awareness.

The biggest battle of my life has been self love. Silly right, but I guarantee you this is the case for so many. If we can truly come to love and appreciate ourselves for what we are. All unique combinations of creation, expressing our divine energy. We can really open up our hearts to the world and everyone and everything around us good and bad and truly live.

We can begin to realize control runs rampant in the illusion of love outside ourselves and that if you surrender to what is and what is directly in front of you in life it is all beautiful. Even the not so fun stuff. That’s the stuff that makes us see ourselves more. To value ourselves more. As I opened the door and slowly removed the barriers I had put up to my heart I realized I had subjected myself to situations and treatment that would never have occured had I had eyes to see, ears to hear, and remained open to the magic that we are.

Love is messy, it’s also consistent, it doesn’t just disappear. It’s always there if you opened your heart to yourself in the first place. To stop loving means you never loved yourself enough, you just played the game with the ego who is our ruler at times, when it should really be our servant.

Love is deep. It’s the baseline of all that is, was, and ever will be so it doesn’t just fade. It is everlasting. Love is accepting. Love recognizes at the core we are all the same. We are all energy. We are all creation. Love strives to understand perspective. Love is forgiveness and inclusion. Love is accepting of differences and flaws and unites the opposites. Love is pain and grief. Love is surrender. Love is the grumpy, sad, and angry moments. Love is everything. Love is you, love is me, love is all.

These are clearly my thoughts and ramblings on things and really just here to get you to thinking about your own expressions of love and experiences with life. I know one would argue that the darker things in life are not love but I would argue they are here just like the lighter things in life and have a purpose just like everything else does. If we can open our hearts to the idea that we are a mixture of light and dark you can truly begin to love ALL of you and the that’s when the illusion truly begins to change.

Love yourself, love each other, love all of creation. Give yourself grace and practice forgiveness in your life. Forgiveness of yourself and of others. This helps tear down the barriers to the heart and opens you up.

Thank you for taking the time to listen to my thoughts and for taking the time to explore and support the Magical Mermaid and the Moon. I love you all.
